The Solution: Dual Redundant 400G Redundancy 

To guarantee 100% uptime, Cloudtronics implemented a dual redundant, four-path 400G transponder architecture. This design ensures that even in the rare event of multiple concurrent fibre failures, the institution’s data remains online and secure.

Collaborative Engineering 

Cloudtronics in conjunction with Packetlight and Viavi worked together on the project brief to design a scalable solution that uses the latest in secure 400G layer 1 encryption technology with real-time optical fibre monitoring.  

Cloudtronics provided expert optical engineering services with onsite smart-hands to setup and commissions this solution. This was further bolstered by direct technical support from PacketLight and Viavi, ensuring a seamless integration of hardware and fibre monitoring solution.  

The combination of dual redundant transmission paths combined with the Viavi FTH-5000 means if a fibre was cut critical information on the location and severity could be sent to the fibre optic provider to support faster link restoration times.
